2007 Indoor Track: Set a school record in the long jump with a leap of 5.41m (17’9") at the Southland Conference Indoor Championships (2/17) to finish ninth...jumped 11.77m (38’7-1/2") in the triple jump at the Southland Conference meet to finish fourth.

2007 Outdoor Track: Had the best mark in the long jump by an Islander with a leap of 5.38m (17’8") to place sixth in the Border Olympics (3/3)...won the long jump at the Javelina Relays with a leap of 5.37m (17’7-1/2")...placed first in the triple jump at the same meet in 12.29m (40’4")...mark in the triple jump would have been best in conference but occurred before official start of outdoor season...missed end of season with injury.

2006 Indoor Track: Recorded the best triple jump in school history with a leap of 11.54m (37’10-1/2") at the RunSport Al-Comers Meet (2/11).

2006 Outdoor Track: Set the school record in the long jump with a mark of 5.76m (18’11") to place first at the Javelina Relays (2/25)...also set the triple jump standard on the same day with a distance of 12.06m (39’7") to win the event...also claimed first in the triple jump at the Islander Invite (4/15)...

In High School: Jumped for coach Austin McQuary at Tomball High School...set school record in the triple jump with a leap of 38'6-1/2" at region meet...won district title in triple jump as a freshman and junior...Newcomer of the Year as a freshman...letterd for four seasons in basketball earning all-distrcit honors as a senior...two-year letterwinner in volleyball.

Personal: Born Mellaneisha Gentry on Aug. 28, 1985 in Houston...daughter of Michael McDade and Frankie Johnson...nursing major.
