In High School: Ran sprints and jumped at Weslaco High School for coach David Fuentes...named team MVP each of his final three seasons...posted a personal-best time of 46.9 in the 400, 21.5 in the 200 and jumped 22’4"...team won district title his final three years and was part of 4x400 relay that claimed regional titles in 2006 and 2007 set the Valley record...lettered twice in football.

Personal: Born Gerardo Espinoza on Feb. 9, 1990...son of Victor and Carmela Espinoza...has two younger siblings...major is undecided.
