Donte Robinson

Donté Robinson

Donté Robinson was named the Islanders' assistant track & field coach in August of 2020. 

Robinson came to Texas A&M-Corpus Christi from Portland State University where he served as a volunteer assistant coach in 2019-20. While with the Vikings, he coached sprints, jumps, and throws while also assisting with recruiting and travel planning.

Prior to coaching, Robinson competed for the Vikings for four seasons, winning three Big Sky Conference multi-event championships. He also finished in 6th place at the 2020 USATF Indoor Combined Events Championships in 2019-20. 

In addition, Robinson has served as a personal training director for the LA Fitness Pearl District and an assistant track & field coach for West Hills Christian School. He also worked for the Trackdown Youth USA Championships in 2016, coaching one of his athletes to a gold medal in the long jump. 

Robinson graduated from Portland State with bachelors degrees in community health/health science and psychology.
