2005 Indoor Track: Competed in a pair of events with a season-best throw of 11.81m (38'9") at the RunSport All-Comers Meet (2/12)...2005 Outdoor Track: Set the school record with a throw of 41.34m (135'7") at the Independent Championship (5/15)...finsihed fourth at the Islander Invite (3/25) in the shot put with a season-best throw of 13.34m (43'9-1/4")...In High School: Threw for Steve Campbell at Calallen High School...threw the discus 50.90m (170'3") and the shot put 15.24m (50'0") as a senior...qualified for the regional meet as a junior and senior...all-district and all-South Texas in 2003...lettered three years in football...Personal: Born Chris Garza May 29, 1985 in Corpus Christi...son of Noela and Roland Garza...has one older brother Steven...majoring in geographic information systems.
