SENIOR (INDOOR 2016-17): Runner-up finish at the Aggie Team Invitational (1/13), completing the 5000m in 15:16.59... took second in the 3000m, after running an 8:31.10 at the Dunamis Sports Group College Classic I (2/9)... season-best 5000m (15:14.98) came during the Southland Conference Championship (2/22).

SENIOR (XC 2016): Completed the UIW Invitational 8K (10/8) in 24:36.9 for fifth place overall... won the Islander Splash (9/16) after running the 8K in 25:09.6.

JUNIOR (OUTDOOR 2016): Runner-up finish in the Islander Collegiate Open (3/12), completing the 10,000m in 32:37.37... 14:52.58 at the J Fred Duckett-Rice Twilight 5000m (4/16) set a PR and was enough to earn second place in the event... set another career-best with a 31:50.43 in the Southland Conference Championship 10,000m (5/8).

JUNIOR (INDOOR 2015-16): Crossed the finish line in 15:51.15 for a seventh place finish in the Texas A&M 13 Team Invitational 5000m.

JUNIOR (XC 2015): Completed his fastest 8K of the year with a 24:43.7 and a sixth place finish at the UIW Invitational (10/10)... ran the 10K in 32:54.0 at the NCAA South Central Regional Championship (11/13).

SOPHOMORE (OUTDOOR 2015): Ran to a runner-up finish at the Islander Open Spring Break Meet (3/13) after completing the 7000m in 22:18.62... 4x400m relay team crossed the finish line in 3:30.14 at the Islander Open Spring Break Meet for fourth place overall.

SOPHOMORE (INDOOR 2014-15): Clocked a 15:36.45 in the Southland Conference Championship 5000m.

SOPHOMORE (XC 2014): Took seventh among collegiate runners at the Islander Splash (9/26) with a time of 26:31.1... fastest 8K of the season came at the Incarnate Word Invitational (25:05.8).

FRESHMAN (OUTDOOR 2014): 9:01.84 at the Islander Open Meet (3/15) was the fastest 3000m he would run in the outdoor season, tallying a sixth place finish overall... ran to third during the Michael Johnson/Dr. Pepper Classic (4/19), crossing the finish line for the 1500m in 4:04.94. 

FRESHMAN (INDOOR 2013-14): Took fourth at the Houston Indoor Opener (1/11) with a time of 16:12.14 in the 5000m... ran his fastest 3000m of the season (8:55.34) at the Southland Conference Championship (2/26).

FRESHMAN (XC 2013): Ran his fastest 8K of the season at the Pre-National Invitational (10/19), crossing the finish line in 25:44.9... ran a 32:38.3 in the NCAA South Central Regional Cross Country Championship.

PRIOR TO TEXAS A&M-CORPUS CHRISTI (LYTLE): Ran for Gilbert Ruiz and Joseph Arguella at Lytle High School in Lytle, Texas… won the state title in cross country and in the 3200-meter his senior year… holds the school record in the 3200-meter with a time of 9:19.

PERSONAL: Born Cesar Gonzales on May 4, 1995 in Monterrey, Mexico… parents are Yaresi Gonzales and Erick Casas… has two siblings, Ashley and Nikki.
