2005 Indoor Track: Set the school record in the shot put in his lone indoor meet of the season with a throw of 13.23m (43'5") at the Lenoard Hilton Memorial Meet (1/21)...2005 Outdoor Track: Set the Islander school record in the hammer with a throw of 22.26m (73'0") at the Angela Proctor Invitational (3/19)...posted the Islanders top three throws all-time in the shot put...had the best shot put by an Islander with a toss of 14.13m (46'4-1/4") at the Islander Invite (3/25)...finished fifth at the Independent Championship with a throw of 13.87m (45'6-1/4")...In High School: Competed in track for three seasons at Belton High School...had personal-best throws of 153' in the discus and 53'2" in the shot put in high school...was a regional qualifier in the shot...lettered two years in football and one in basketball...Personal: Born Brent Thomas Bartz in Temple on March 9, 1986...is the son of Maribeth Bartz...has an older brother named Brad...major is biology.
