High School: Played at Sunrise Mountain High School for head coach Nick Rizer … as a junior, Haleman hit .549 with 21 doubles, three triples, eight home runs and 64 RBI … led her team to three district championships in her first three seasons … clinched two state championships as a freshman and sophomore, with a runner-up finish as a junior … earned  First Team All-Conference and First Team All-State as a junior and was Second Team All-Conference as a sophomore … holds the school record for most doubles with 21, RBI’s with 64, batting average with .549 and slugging percentage with 1.049.

 

Personal: Born Karissa Nichole Haleman on Feb. 25, 1993, in Ridgecrest, Calif. … parents are Raymond Haleman Jr. and Rebecca Haleman … intends to major in sports medicine/physical therapy.
