Prior to TAMUCC: Was named to the all-Region X team at Louisburg College for coach Sheila Cotten...led her team to a Region X championship with a 1.03 earned run average which ranked 25th among all junior college pitchers.

High School: Played at Rolesville High School in Wake Forest, N.C. for coach Doug Kinsman...led her team to a 16-8 record including a 10-8 league mark...recorded 714 strikeouts with just 54 walks in four seasons with the Cougars...threw two perfect games and five no-hitters...named the conference player of the year as a junior and senior and was named the team most valuable players three-straight seasons...became the first female athlete at her school to have her number retired...garnered three letters in volleyball where she was named most valuable player as a senior as well as garnering all-conference honors as a junior and senior...also lettered three years in basketball where she was an all-conference performer.
