PRIOR TO TEXAS A&M-CORPUS CHRISTI: Spent one season at Vernon College under Brittanie Talley... played in 21 games during her freshman season, making 44 plate appearances for a .250 batting average... recorded one run and a pair of RBI, both coming in the series against Grayson College.

HIGH SCHOOL: Led Leander High School four four seasons under Faye Fregia and Kendall Driver... guided the Lions to a district championship in 2014 and state semi finals in 2013... named academic all-district all four years.

PERSONAL: Born Jade Rene Torres on June 5, 1997... daughter of Joe and Mindy Torres... majoring in pre-allied health, with plans to become a sports psychologist.
