Blake Miller added to his staff in August 2016 with the hiring of Stephanie Peace. One of the best players in Wisconsin Softball history, Peace spent the last year as a graduate assistant at Texas A&M-Kingsville.
 
Peace's role with the Javelinas included management of the day-to-day operations, opponent scouting and coordination of travel for the program. During her year at A&M-Kingsville, Peace guided the team to a 22-33 record and coached the first D2CCA All-American in program history, as well as a Lone Star Conference Gold Glove Team winner.
 
Prior to joining A&M-Kingsville, the New Braunfels native had an illustrious playing career at Wisconsin, where she ranks first in games played and walks, second in stolen bases and third in runs and home runs.
                                           
An all-around presence in Madison, Wisc., Peace was a force her senior year with a .579 slugging percentage and a .967 fielding mark, which will translate to the field for the Islanders when combined with Miller's hitting acumen. She finished her career with a litany of awards including two NCAA Tournament All-Region selections.
 
Peace also garnered recognition for her efforts in the classroom with three selections to the Big Ten All-Academic team and being named University of Wisconsin Board Scholar in 2010 and 2011.
 
In addition to her impressive career with the Badgers, Peace spent time as a student-assistant coach at Wisconsin, an instructor for Wisconsin and Milwaukee Brewers camps and a coach for the Texas Bombers U18.
 
With the Islanders, Peace will help with the day-to-day operations, while working with infielders and outfielders, as well as hitting.
