Zeger was named Assistant Softball Coach in Jan. 2021. He arrived at The Island University after spending the previous two seasons as an assistant coach at Daytona State College. He served as the recruiting coordinator, in addition to his duties as a hitting, infield, outfield and strength coach.
 
While in Florida, Zeger also worked at Pro Swings as a hitting instructor, speed & agility and strength coach. He created softball specific training programs for Olympians, professionals and collegiate players.
 
Prior to his time in Florida, Zeger worked a season as an assistant baseball coach at Chesapeake College. He served as the hitting, infield and outfield coach, as well as the recruiting coordinator.
 
Zeger also worked stints with the Baltimore Dodgers, Hagerstown Community College, Eagle Valley Eagles and La Roche University. He graduated with a Bachelor's in Health Science from La Roche and with a Master's in Entertainment Business/Sports Management from Full Sail University.
