HIGH SCHOOL: Three-year letterwinner under Rosemary Rhodes at Collins High School, in Spring Texas ... helped the Tigers compile a 76-21 record in three years … propelled the team to the state semifinals as a freshman … registered an impressive .473 batting average as a junior while knocking in a pair of home runs to earn first team all-district infield honors … also garnered the Tiger Fielding Award and Tiger Heart Award … earned first team all-district academic honors all three years … member of the National Honor Society … played for the Texas Peppers Gold select team under coaches Richard Bass and Glynn Tolleson.
