CAPITAL PROJECTS
Convocation Center and Arena – A part of the current campus wide campaign, the Convocation Center and Arena will provide the home court advantage to the Island University.
Baseball/Softball – Some of our oldest athletic facilities on the Island are in need of major upgrades. To enhance the student-athlete and fan experience Islanders Athletics is looking to replace scoreboards, enhance seating, and provide shade to fans.

ENDOWMENTS

Endowed funds provide a lasting source of support for Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi to ensure continued growth and long-term stability. Simply, endowments are created when donated funds are invested in perpetuity by the university. The principal of the fund is never spent, and the return on the investment is used to fund scholarships, professorships, academic chairs, research, fellowships, lectures, programs or other areas that matter to you. A minimum of $10,000 is required to establish an endowment. Donors may give either outright or arrange a deferred gift up to five (5) years. A team of investment professionals carefully manages the funds to preserve and enhance the assets. Endowments can be established in the donor’s name, or in honor or memory of someone important.

Student-Athlete Scholarships - Our annual scholarship bill exceeds $2.7 million. A full in-state scholarship is $22,306 and a full out-of-state scholarship is $35,442. State funds may not be used for student-athlete scholarships, making private contributions and designated scholarship endowments a vital funding source.

Coaching Positions - Endowing a coaching position allows us to provide support and incentives that attract and retain the best coaches in the Southland Conference.

For more information or if you would like to set up an endowment, contact Sebastian Rodriguez, at (361) 825-3547 or Sebastian.Rodriguez@tamucc.edu.

LEGACY GIFTS
A planned gift is one made to Islanders Athletics with the income or other benefits from the donated money or property retained by the donor, or other beneficiary, for as long as he or she lives. Planned gifts can be a significant part of an overall estate plan. Such gifts provide an excellent method of obtaining diversification, reducing income tax, reducing estate and gift taxes, and cutting the cost of probate of one's estate. Such gifts of property, which increase in value, may also avoid capital gains taxes for a donor. Islanders Athletics will be happy to assist you in designing a planned gift to achieve your personal, financial and charitable objectives.
