Financial Aid Information for Student-Athletes

Undergraduate and graduate TAMU-CC student-athletes with remaining eligibility who meet applicable NCAA, Southland Conference, and TAMU-CC regulations may be eligible for athletically related financial aid. TAMU-CC coaches are responsible for the determination of offerings of financial aid to student-athletes during the academic year (with approval from the TAMU-CC Financial Aid Office).  NCAA legislation governs the type and amount of aid that student-athletes may receive.

Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) Click here to visit the FAFSA website and access the form.  All TAMU-CC student-athletes should complete the FAFSA to determine if they qualify for other permissible grants or loans.  Student-athletes who need help completing the FAFSA should contact the TAMUCC financial aid office to work with a FAFSA counselor.  The TAMU-CC federal code is 011161.  

TAMU-CC Academic Scholarships – Student-Athletes can find information on TAMU-CC academic scholarships here. The deadline for the 2019-20 academic year is March 1st, 2019 for current TAMU-CC undergraduate students.

TAMU-CC Financial Aid Office – Student-Athletes who have questions regarding non-athletic financial aid should contact the Office of Student Financial Aid, located on the 1st floor of the Student Services Center or by visiting their website here.

Summer athletics financial aid – Summer athletics aid is separate from the award student-athletes receives during the academic year.  Such aid may be awarded if a student-athlete:  (a) attended TAMU-CC for at least one semester during the regular academic year and/or (b) is receiving athletics aid during that semester or have been awarded athletics aid for the following academic year.  If receiving aid, the amount of aid will be determined by the head coach with approval from the compliance office.  To be considered for summer athletics aid, student-athletes will complete the summer school application with the Compliance & Student-Athlete Services Office.  Summer athletics aid is not guaranteed.

International Student Information –  International student-athletes who have questions related to international taxes, Glacier accounts, etc. should visit the Office of International Education (located in UC 226) or by contacting Senior International Student Advisor Elizabeth Reyes by email or phone (361-825-2258).
