Bobby Stroupe
Bobby Stroupe is in his 12th year serving as the Founder and President of ACCELERATE Performance Enhancement Center (APEC) in Tyler, TX / Fort Worth, TX. Bobby has supported thousands of athletes and teams from youth to the professional level including major college award recipients, All Americans (high school & college), multiple National Champions, Super Bowl Champions, World Series Champions and MLB record holders. Coach Stroupe is 1 of 49 worldwide coaches that make up the Elite NIKE Trainer Network and belongs to an prestigious group of physical therapists, athletic trainers, and human performance practitioners as a Fellow of Applied Functional Science. Stroupe has also been named a Registered Strength and Conditioning Coach with Distinction by the NSCA due to 10+ years of demonstrating high standards and professional practice.
 
Mandy Tyler
Mandy Tyler is the consulting sports dietitian for Texas A&M Corpus Christi Islander Athletics.  Mandy received her Master’s Degree in Kinesiology from the University of Texas at Austin, she is a Registered and Licensed Dietitian, a Board Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics, a Licensed Athletic Trainer, and is a Certified Exercise Physiologist through the American College of Sports Medicine. Mandy’s education has provided her with a unique background tailored to understanding the specific needs of the elite athlete. She utilizes her educational background along with her passion for sports and fitness to provide sports nutrition consulting services to competitive athletes and teams. Mandy teaches athletes the importance of nutrition combined with a proper training program to improve performance, prevent injury, and promote overall health and wellness. Mandy believes the key to reaching one’s full potential, both in everyday life and in sports performance, relies on a healthy nutritional foundation.  A proper sports nutrition program provides the starting point to helping athletes reach their goals.

Everett “Lee” Scott – Islanders Head Strength Coach
Lee Scott joined the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Department of Athletics in December 2014 as the program’s Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach. Scott joins the Island University after previously working for Texas A&M-Kingsville. In June of 2016 Scott was promoted to Head Strength and Conditioning Coach at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.
Scott served as the Javelinas’ Head Strength & Conditioning Coach for just over a year, overseeing strength and conditioning for the school’s 12 intercollegiate athletics teams. He designed and implemented programs for every team at TAMUK in his time there, and helped the Javelinas pick up conference championships in baseball and men’s track in 2014. The TAMUK men’s track team finished fourth in the nation last year.
Prior to joining the staff at TAMUK, he worked at Houston’s Downtown Club at the Met as a group exercise instructor and personal trainer. In addition to his duties with the Downtown Club, he designed a plyometric and strength program for the John Lucas Camp in Houston. He also spent a year working at the YMCA in Victoria, Texas, for a year in the same position he held at the Downtown Club.
His career working in strength and conditioning began at Midwestern State, where he earned his master’s degree in physiology. As a strength and conditioning graduate assistant, he designed and implemented an offseason conditioning program for the women’s basketball team at MSU. He also designed and implemented the walk-on/redshirt football program for Midwestern and assisted in the strength and conditioning for football, men’s basketball and softball.
Following his collegiate career, he was one of four kickers chosen to participate in the national combine at Lucas Oil Stadium. He also played semiprofessionally in the arena league for the Houston Stallions and Corpus Christi Fury, and is currently a sponsored racquetball player.

Eugene Kwarteng
Eugene Kwarteng has made Louisiana his permanent home. 
He was originally born in Ghana - West Africa, and transplanted to Texas where he grew up. In 2001, Eugene attended The University of Louisiana-Lafayette on an athletic scholarship to play football. He graduated in May of 2006 with a B.F. A. degree.  After ending his professional football endeavors, he found his passion in the fitness profession. 
Eugene Kwarteng works at Reds Health Club in Lafayette, Louisiana. He has worked at the club for 12 years and has been a fitness trainer for 10 of those 12 years.  Eugene is certified through A.C.E. (American Council on Exercise) since 2008. His specialty is kettlebell training. As a Strong First Level 2 Kettlebell instructor (SFG 2), Eugene continues his path in fitness by teaching others how to use the kettlebell, along with other tools safely and effectively to reach and or exceed their fitness goals.
