CAREER RESULTS AND PERSONAL BESTS
2015 Indoor and Outdoor Track:
2014 Indoor and Outdoor Track: Opened the indoor season with a win at the Houston Indoor Opener as part of the men's distance relay team. Was a part of the DMR wins throughout the season. Set personal records in the mile, 3000 and 3000 steeplechase. Took second in the DMR at the Southland Conference Indoor Championships. Won the 1500 during the Islanders Dash while finishing sixth in the event at the Outdoor Championship.
2013 Indoor and Outdoor Track: Finished fifth in the mile at the Southland Conference Indoor Championships and took eight in the finals of the 1500 during the Outdoor Championship. Opened up the indoor season with a seventh-place finish in the mile at the Texas Tech Indoor Opener. Took second in the 3000 steeplechase during the Cactus Cup with a time of 9:52.63.
2012 Indoor and Outdoor Track: Recorded two top 10 records during the season … qualified for the Southland Conference Championships with a time of 3:54.64 at the Fred Duckett Rice Twilight (4/12) in the men’s 1500m … clocked a time of 3:54.63 at the Southland Conference Championships (5/12) in the men’s 1500m … part of the men’s 4x800 relay team that broke the school record with a time of 7:38.56 at the Texas Relays (3/12) … anchored the Distance Medley Relay team that shattered the school record with a time of 9:52.89 at the Texas Relays (3/31). Ran in the one-mile finals at the Indoor Southland Conference Championships (2/24) and clocked a time of 4:21.52 to place in the top 10 … finished third at the Jeff Davis Bank McNeese Indoor Meet (2/3) in the 3k with a personal-best time of 8:40.25.
2011 CROSS COUNTRY (FRESHMAN): Teamed up at the UTPA Bronc Relays (9/2) with Jeremy Juarez to earn second place with a time of 37:53 … set a personal-best time of 26:59 in the men’s 8k at the Islander Splash (9/23).
HIGH SCHOOL: Ran for head coach Victor Mathis at Cuero High School in Cuero, Texas … during his senior season earned a silver medal at the state cross country meet and won the state championship in the 1600m with a time of 4:20 … earned Second Team All-State for cross country in 2009 and First Team All-State in cross country in 2010 … four-year letterwinner in cross country and track.
