CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – The Texas A&M-Corpus Christi beach volleyball team will put on the seventh annual Islander Classic, welcoming Texas A&M-Kingsville, SFA, Tarleton State, and Sam Houston to Water's Edge Park Friday and Saturday.
The five teams will play in a round-robin format over the two-day tournament, with five matches scheduled to be played both days. The Islanders will open Friday with an early morning 8 a.m. match against Texas A&M-Kingsville to get the weekend underway.
Additionally, the Islanders will hold a special Senior Day presentation honoring this year's senior class on Saturday following the conclusion of their match against Tarleton around 12 p.m.
The Islanders are coming off a two-week gap where they last played in the SLC Midseason with the 5-1 weekend record.

Tess Spaansen completed an undefeated streak in conference play at the No. 1 spot, improving to a team-best 15-5 duo record on the year from that court.

The Islanders have never dropped a decision to SFA or Tarleton and haven't lost to Texas A&M-Kingsville since 2021. It will be the first-ever meeting between A&M-Corpus Christi and Sam Houston.
All matches played against the Islanders will be streamed live on ESPN+.
