NEW ORLEANS, La. – The Texas A&M-Corpus Christi beach volleyball team posted a pair of 3-0 sweeps today to continue their journey through the 2025 SLC Championships in the top bracket and will compete in the semifinals tomorrow.
The Islanders (21-12) took care of business with sweeping victories over No. 7 McNeese and No. 6 Southeastern on day one of the conference tournament. They will now play No. 1 Boise State in tomorrow's winner's bracket semifinal match at 2 p.m.
Today also got the Islanders pass the 20-win mark, their fourth consecutive season to post at least 20 wins. The Islanders are also now 12-2 all-time in the Southland Conference Tournament and have never lost on the first day of the postseason tournament.
Both the twos and fours pairings for A&M-Corpus Christi took care of business in the first wave of each match, taking straight-set decisions to create an early 2-0 match lead.

Bryce Ranney at court four won a pair of 21-11 sets in the earlier match. In the second match of the day, the twos and fours both opened with another pair of straight-set victories.

Tess Spaansen were able to finalize the match with a win at that top court in straight sets.
The winner in tomorrow's semis will advance to Friday's championship while the loser will have to play a win-or-go-home second semifinal on Friday morning. Tomorrow's match will be streamed live on ESPN+.
