CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – Having already played six games in the last week, the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi softball team will play another three-game conference series this weekend to wrap a nine-day marathon when they host Nicholls Friday and Saturday at Chapman Field.
The Islanders (9-29, 3-15 SLC) will welcome the Colonels (22-20, 12-6 SLC) for a doubleheader Friday beginning at 12 p.m. and a final third game Saturday also at noon. It will be another matchup against a top team in the league as Nicholls sits tied for third in the standings.
It will mark the end of nine games in nine days for A&M-Corpus Christi. They will look to finally get back in the win column and break a nine-game skid. Their last victory was a rubber match win over HCU at home to secure that series.
Nicholls leads the series 34-14 since 2007. The Islanders will be going for their first win over the Colonels since the 2023 season when they took game three of that series 9-4 in Corpus Christi.
All three games will be available to watch live on ESPN+.
