There wasn't much movement on the leaderboard after the first two rounds, with the majority of teams remaining in the same ranking entering day two. The Islanders dropped just one spot after a spotty day of a 325 round finish for a 938 54-hole total.
Graduate
Tristan Gabbard finished as team lead, ranking tied for 26
th after submitting a 75-75-80 – 230 on the tournament in her first outing as an Islander.
The rest of the squad were separated by just one stroke from each other. Sophomore
Carla Puente Fernandez ended with a 235 after shooting an 82 in round three. Junior
Elsa Tornvall carded a 236 through the tournament while sophomore
Samantha Gibbs turned in a 237 following the final round.
"Overall, today just wasn't a great day," said head coach
Chris Adams. "We made too many big numbers today and the conditions were a bit more difficult, but we just didn't adjust well. We have about 10 days to work out some things and get ready for Texas Tech!"

The Islanders will get back in action Sept. 24-25 when they head to Texas Tech for the Red Raider Invitational.
