Casino Night Fundraiser Set for Aug. 5 on Campus

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas - The Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Department of Athletics will host its annual Islander Athletic Fund Casino Night on Saturday, Aug. 5. The event, presented by Conni and Jay Wise, supports the student-athlete scholarship fund and allows Islanders student-athletes a first-class Division I experience. It will be held in the University Center on campus.

"We are thrilled to once again bring you one of Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi and Islanders Athletics most exciting and fun evening of the year! There is no better way to kick-off a new athletics calendar than celebrating with our coaches, student-athletes, and Islanders community by raising money for student-athlete scholarships, picking up items at the auctions, and having a lot of fun at the craps table. You definitely do not want to miss it," said vice president of intercollegiate athletics Adrian Rodriguez.

Casino Night will feature Blackjack, Craps, Roulette, Texas Hold-Em, Let it Ride, 3-Card Poker, Slots, dinner, cash bar, silent and live auctions, a very special gift card board, and a chance to mingle with Islanders coaches and staff. Gambling games will be for entertainment purposes only, with the high chip count winner recognized at the end of the event.

H-E-B will match donations to the Islander Athletic Fund at Casino Night up to $5,000. Contributions can be made directly to the IAF at the event, by clicking here or by calling 361-825-3237.
