CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – The 2022-23 Women's Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar Team was announced and all seven members from the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi golf program were recognized on it for their success in the classroom.

The minimum cumulative grade point average for consideration was a 3.50.

1,416 total collegiate women's golfers were recognized on the team. For the Islanders, it included senior
Maria Beltran, senior
Lucy Martinez, junior
Lucie Charbonnier, junior
Reese Drezins, sophomore
Reagan Gray, freshman
Lucia Ramirez and freshman
Elsa Tornvall.

It marked the second consecutive year that Charbonnier, Martinez and Gray were distinguished with the award. A&M-Corpus Christi placed four on the team last year.

The WGCA is a non-profit organization representing women's collegiate golf coaches. The WGCA was formed to encourage the playing of college golf for women in correlation with a general objective of education and in accordance with the highest tradition of intercollegiate competition. Today, the WGCA represents over 650 coaches throughout the U.S. and is dedicated to educating, promoting and recognizing both its members and the student-athletes they represent.
