CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – The Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Department of Athletics announced the hiring of Jill Davis as Assistant Athletic Trainer.
Â
Davis will be working primarily with the Islanders soccer program, which begins its season in August.
Â
"I'm excited to be a part of the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Athletic Training staff. Coming back home to Texas and working with the women's soccer team is exactly what I wanted for my next steps. I'm looking forward to getting started with the team," Davis said.
Â
Davis arrives on The Island after spending the last two seasons at Liberty University. She served as the volleyball trainer in 2022-23 after working with both soccer and men's tennis in 2021-22. Davis also worked soccer camps the last two summers with Clemson and Texas A&M.
Â
"Throughout the course of the interview process Jill demonstrated that she has a passion for athletic training and working in NCAA D1 soccer. I am excited for the skill set and experiences that she has developed throughout her time spent at Liberty University. I am grateful for everyone's work on the search committee who helped with bringing her on board with the Islanders," said head athletic trainer Jerry Hilker.
Â
Davis graduated with a pair of degrees from Abilene Christian. She earned her Bachelor's in kinesiology and her Master's in athletic training.
