CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – The Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Department of Athletics announced the hiring of Texas native Cassi Rozanski as Assistant AD for Compliance.
Â
"I am beyond grateful to Mr. Adrian Rodriguez, Mr. Eric Schultz, Mr. John LaRue and the leadership at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi for affording me this exciting opportunity. The University has a reputation as a world-class institution devoted to providing a second to none college experience in the classroom, community and in athletic competition. To serve in this capacity and to be a part of the upward trajectory of this athletic department and amazing University is such a blessing. I can't wait to get started and do my part in ensuring our student athletes are supported and given the resources needed to be successful. I also look forward to cheering them on every step of the way! Coupling all of this with being able to come home to Texas and plant roots for my family in a place as beautiful as Corpus Christi, I'm overjoyed and thrilled to be an Islander! Shakas up," Rozanski said.Â
Â
Rozanski arrives on The Island after serving in the same role at Murray State. As the day-to-day compliance administrator with the Racers, Rozanski managed all aspects of the NCAA and Missouri Valley compliance programs and educated, monitored and audited those involved in athletics.

Additionally, Rozanski was the department's Title IX Coordinator. She was a member of the University President's Intercollegiate Council, the MVC Equity and Diversity Committee and the Under-Represented and Low-Income Committee.
Â
"I'm excited to welcome Cassi to the team of compliance professionals at A&M-Corpus Christi. With her help, we will continue to ensure the university adheres to ethical principles that make us a leading institution of higher education in South Texas," said John LaRue, chief ethics & compliance officer.
Â
Prior to Murray State, Rozanski spent five years at LeTourneau where she worked as both the head women's basketball coach and NCAA Compliance Coordinator her final season. She led the Yellow Jackets to the highest single season winning percentage in the NCAA DIII era of the program and was named as the American Southwest Conference Coach of the Year in 2019-20.
Â
Rozanski has a coaching background as she also served as the director of men's basketball operations at UTRGV in 2015-16 after working seven years as an assistant women's basketball coach at UT Tyler.
Â
"We are incredibly excited to have Cassi join our Islanders Athletics team. She brings a rich intercollegiate athletics background as a former head women's basketball coach, director of men's basketball operations, Athletics Title IX Coordinator, SWA, sports administrator, and compliance administrator," said vice president of intercollegiate athletics Adrian Rodriguez. "It's an exciting time to be joining Islanders Athletics and we are thrilled that Cassi will be a part of our team."
