SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Texas A&M-Corpus Christi's track and field program concluded its season at the NCAA West Preliminaries after a trio competed at Hornet Stadium for a chance at the Championships.
"I'm proud of the guys that made it here this weekend," said head coach Brent Ericksen. "I think they gave it everything they had and it's never a bad thing when you end your season in the NCAA Championships."
Ke'Tavion Humber, a graduate student, finished the prelims of the 110m hurdles in 31st with a mark of 14.04s. His personal best on the season was 14.00s at the SLC Outdoor Championships for fourth.
Sean Majors earned 41st in the men's long jump in his graduate student campaign with a leap of 7.01m. Earlier in the season, he shattered the old school record with a mark of 7.84m in the event, overcoming last year's record-breaking mark.
Daniel Armstrong, a senior, completed the men's 400m hurdles with a mark of 52.52s in his performance to earn the 34th position. Armstrong earned All-Conference Third-Team recognition earlier this season at the SLC Outdoor Championships.
After a successful season, the Islanders will take a moment to reflect before building upon the momentum to take into the future.
