Sprints Conclude Texas Relays for A&M-Corpus Christi

AUSTIN, Texas - After the third day of the Texas Relays and second for Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, the track and field program rounded out its appearance at Mike A. Myers Stadium Friday afternoon.

"The conditions were a little tough last night. We were looking for a fast race, but the races turned tactical due to the high winds," said head coach Brent Ericksen. "It's great to get Capri out there."

Senior Daniel Armstrong competed in his second event of the meet in the men's 110m hurdles, crossing the finish line in 14.31s. Teammate Ke'Tavion Humber, a graduate student, finished three spots behind the aforementioned hurdler with a mark of 14.57s.

Capri Wilson, a junior, finished best for the blue and green with a time of 11.988s in the women's 100m dash. Freshman Zenai Fowler earned a mark of 12.32s, just short of her personal best of 12.26s.

A&M-Corpus Christi returns to action at the Cameron Burrell Alumni Invitational hosted by Houston on Friday, April 7.
