SUGARLAND, Texas – The Texas A&M-Corpus Christi golf program concluded the HCU Intercollegiate in sixth-place out of 15 institutions after three rounds at Riverbend Country Club.

The Islanders entered Tuesday's final round in seventh and surpassed Charleston Southern with a 308 score. A&M-Corpus Christi finished with a 924.

Senior
Maria Beltran was the team's top finisher in 13th-place. After a 79 in round one, she responded with consecutive 74's for a 227 scorecard. Just two strokes behind her was freshman
Elsa Tornvall with a 229 overall which included a pair of 76's on Monday.

Sophomore Regan Gray registered her best round of the tournament Tuesday with a 74 to end with a 235. Senior
Lucy Martinez notched a 239 and junior
Reese Drezins a 240.

It was the second-to-last tournament of the regular season for the Islanders as they conclude at Lamar on April 3-4. All five tournaments this spring have been in the state of Texas. The 2023 SLC Championship is set for April 17-19 in San Antonio.
