HOUSTON, Texas – The Texas A&M-Corpus Christi beach volleyball team improved to a five-match winning streak after sweeping Boise State 5-0 in the morning and topping Southeastern 4-1 on day one of the Southland Midyear Tournament at Third Coast Volleyball Club.
The Islanders (7-4) improved to 3-0 in conference play this year after defeating both Boise State (6-3) and Southeastern (3-7). The results from this weekend will go towards determining seeding for the SLC Championships, hosted by the Islanders on April 21-23.
A&M-Corpus Christi has now won 22 consecutive regular season matches against SLC opponents dating back to 2019. It includes a 5-0 sweep over HCU over opening weekend this year in Houston.

Hannah Doyle defeated both quickly to help the Islanders go up 1-0 in each match.

Raven Jordan topped Boise State 21-15, 21-16 before taking down Southeastern 21-14, 21-17 to finish second in both matches.

Tori Johnson clinched both matches. The duo competed at flight three and swept Boise State 21-16 in sets one and two before sweeping Southeastern 21-14, 21-13.
It was the first meeting with Boise State since the Broncos joined the Southland this year as an affiliate member. The Islanders are now 3-0 against Boise State and 5-0 against Southeastern.
The Islanders will close out the Southland midyear on Sunday with a pair of matches against San Jose State and Nicholls at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m., respectively.
