CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – The Texas A&M-Corpus Christi women's basketball program announced the addition of Natalie Huff as its first signee to the team's 2024-25 roaster on Friday.
Huff signed her National Letter of Intent, solidifying her commitment to joining the Islanders for the 2024-25 season. She won't have to go far, as the point guard will come to the Island as a native of San Antonio, Texas.
"We are very excited to add Natalie to our Islanders family," said head coach
Royce Chadwick. "She is an outstanding young lady on top of being a tremendous basketball player. Her leaderships skills and scoring potential make her a can't-miss quarterback prospect. I look forward to having her get on campus."
Huff is a 5'7 guard and is completing in her fourth and final year on the Tom C. Clark High School varsity team. She has been a part of the three-time defending District Championship squad as well as helping her team to a State title in the 2022-23 season. It was their second straight State appearance after making it to the semifinals in 2021-22.
Huff has earned All-District First-Team honors all three years so far as well as making it onto the All-Tournament Team following the State Championship in 2023. It helped her also be named to the TABC All-Region 6A Team that year. In addition to her on-court success, Huff has been tabbed to the All-Academic First Team every year for her success in the classroom.
She will arrive on the Island next fall where she plans to major in Kinesiology in order to pursue a career in physical therapy.
