CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – The two-time reigning Southland Conference Champion Texas A&M-Corpus Christi men's basketball program was predicted to finish fourth in the 2023-24 Southland Conference Preseason Poll, the league announced Tuesday.

The Islanders have won three championships in the last two seasons including back-to-back SLC Tournament titles. A&M-Corpus Christi earned the automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament each year and defeated Southeast Missouri State 75-71 in March Madness this past season.

A&M-Corpus Christi has 11 newcomers on the roster including two grad transfers, one senior, six juniors, a sophomore and a freshman. They joined a team of five returnees.

The season begins Tuesday, Nov. 7 when the Islanders host Southwestern Adventist at 7:30 p.m. in the Dugan Wellness Center.
