CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – As part of Family Weekend on campus, the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi soccer program will host Southeastern at 7 p.m. Friday and Nicholls at 1 p.m. Sunday in a key conference weekend at Dugan Stadium.

The Islanders currently sit in the middle of the pack in fifth-place in the conference standings at 1-2-1 but can make their move up with a pair of wins. SLU enters play at 1-3 with three games decided by one goal, while Nicholls begins the weekend at 0-4 after a very tight 2-1 defeat to A&M-Commerce.

It will be the fourth and fifth home games of the season for A&M-Corpus Christi, which have predominately been road warriors. The Islanders recently completed a five-game road unbeaten streak and have played nine road games on the year.

The Islanders split a pair of road games last weekend after beating HCU 1-0 and falling to UIW 3-1. The victory over the Huskies was the first time in program history A&M-Corpus Christi beat HCU on the road. Freshman
Taylor Thibodeau scored the game-winner in the 80th minute.

Sophomore
Mai-Lisa Atis leads the team with four goals and an assist, while junior
Megan Guy also has nine points with three goals and three assists. Guy has fired a team-high 23 shots with 17 on goal. Nine different Islanders have scored a goal this year including senior
Maggie Murray with three.

Furthermore, A&M-Corpus Christi has showcased its depth as 21 different student-athletes have made a start, 23 have played over 150 minutes and three different Islanders have tallied a game-winning goal.

Center backs
Emma Crump and
Olivia Hughes have logged a team-high 885 and 697 minutes, respectively. In net, senior
Kennedy Stelling and junior
Zoe Theriot have each started an even six games with Theriot starting both last weekend.

A&M-Corpus Christi will host the Southland Conference Championship on Nov. 1-5 at Dugan Stadium.
