A&M-Corpus Christi Closes out NMSU Iconic Classic

LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The Texas A&M-Corpus Christi golf team concluded the final round of the three-day New Mexico State Iconic Classic to remain in 15th place at the NMSU Golf Course.
 
The Islanders shot a 307 on Wednesday after posting a 294 in round one and 299 in round two. Overall, the team finished with a 900 (+36) score.
 
Sophomore Lucia Ramirez led the Islanders after finishing 37th individually with a 221 overall score, her lowest 64-hole total of the year. Senior Lucie Charbonnier turned in the best round of the day with a 74 to end with a 223, the same three-round score as sophomore Elsa Tornvall as both finished tied for 49th.
 
Similar to Ramirez, the 223 marked Tornvall's lowest 64-hole total of the year as well.
 
Freshman Samantha Gibbs submitted a 76-78-79 – 231 tournament score while junior Reagan Gray matched her round one score of an 81 to card a 247 on the week.
  
A&M-Corpus Christi will continue its fall slate on Oct. 16-17 in the Arkansas State Lady Red Wolves Classic.
