HUMBLE, Texas - The Texas A&M-Corpus Christi track and field programs finished up the Southland Conference Outdoor Championships, collecting six gold medals and 15 top-three medals in total at Turner Stadium.
"It's the highest finish for the women ever and for the men as well with both of them getting their highest point totals," said head coach
Brent Ericksen. "From that standpoint, it was good, especially with the rough conditions and having to run long distance. The men scored four in the top eight in the 110m hurdles and later the men's 4x400m relay was all-conference."
Senior
Ke'Tavion Humber was the first Islander to claim a gold medal, running a 13.73s time in the men's 100m hurdles followed by fellow senior
Daniel Armstrong in third at 13.86s. Graduate Student

Trpimir Siroki in sixth behind him as they both ran 14.08s and 14.16s respectively.

She was also the leadoff runner in the women's 4x100m that placed third with a time of 46.71s consisting of Steele, and freshmen
Journi Williams and
