Brooke Pertuit continued their winning ways despite a 4-1 defeat for the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi beach volleyball program against No. 17 Arizona on Saturday at Water's Edge Park in the Conni & Jay Wise Islander Classic.
Corrales and Pertuit, the reigning and three-time SLC Pair of the Week winners, extended their winning-streak to seven matches. They won in straight sets 21-17, 21-14 to improve to 19-5 on the season at the No. 1 position.
A&M-Corpus Christi (16-8), which is receiving votes in the national AVCA Top-20 Poll, saw a tight match come on court three. Grad student

Migle Mazurkeviciute won the first set 23-21, but the Wildcats were able to come back in a tight 21-23, 21-16, 15-11 battle.
The Islanders will continue the Conni & Jay Wise Islander Classic with a pair of matches Saturday. They'll take on Arizona Christian at 11 a.m., followed by a 1 p.m. contest against HBU.
After the match against the Huskies, A&M-Corpus Christi will honor
Micaela Mirabal and Mazurkeviciute in a Senior Day ceremony. Both are on pace to graduate this spring term with Mirabal pursuing her Master's in communications and Mazurkeviciute her Bachelor's in marketing.
