SUGAR LAND, Texas - Following the conclusion of two rounds on Monday, the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi golf program sits in 10th place out of 14 in the HBU Husky Invitational at the Riverbend Country Club.
The Islanders submitted a 315 in round one and then followed up with a 320 in round two to total a 635 on the day. They are 30 strokes out of first-place HBU.
Sophomore
Lucie Charbonnier leads the Islanders following day one of the HBU Husky Invitational as she is tied for tenth place individually with a 153 36-hole total. She submitted a 79 to start the day and then a 74 on the last 18 holes. Charbonnier has placed 11th or better in the last three tournaments, her highest coming from the Islander Classic where she tied for third individually.
Freshmen
Reagan Gray and
Anastacia Johnson both carded a 160 on the day. They average scores close to each other as Johnson averages a 75.07 score through 15 rounds and Gray averages a 75.83 through six tournaments.
Senior
Kelli Ann Dugan submitted a 76-89 - 165 after the first two rounds and rounding out the Islanders was sophomore
Reese Drezins who carded a 83-86 - 169 on the day.
The tournament will conclude Tuesday after a final round. Tee off is set for 8:30 a.m. with a shotgun start.
