LAS CRUCES, N.M. – Improving its scored by nine strokes from round one to round two, the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi golf program moved up two spots in the team standings and sits in 12th with an overall score of 607 after two days at the NMSU Aggie Invitational at the NMSU Golf Course.

The Islanders submitted a 308 in round one yesterday and a 299 in round two today.

Junior
Lucie Charbonnier continues to lead the way with a 145. She moved up four spots to 12th place after carding a 72. Sophomore
Reagan Gray also improved her positioning after tallying a 73. Four of the five Islanders recorded a better score on day two.

"The team had a much better day. Lucie and Reagan again led the way and we still feel our best is yet to come," said head coach
Pat Stephens. "Look for the team to move up more spots on the leaderboard in tomorrow's final round."

Senior
Lucy Martinez registered a 78 and has an overall score of 155. Freshman
Lucia Ramirez and junior
Reese Drezins are close behind with a 162 and 163, respectively.

The third and final round will tee off at 9:30 a.m. (CT) Wednesday.
