Charbonnier in Second, Islanders in Top Half at Wofford

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Junior Lucie Charbonnier stayed hot Monday to lead the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi golf program to a seventh-place standing out of 17 schools after two rounds of the Wofford College Terrier Intercollegiate at the Carolina Country Club.
 
Charbonnier carded a 75 in round one and a 69 in round two for a 144 total. She's just one stroke out of first-place behind North Alabama's Jacqueline Klemm.
 
Also in the top-10 individually is senior Maria Beltran. She notched a 150 after tallying a 74 in round one and 76 in round two.
 
As a team, A&M-Corpus Christi recorded a 315 in round one before improving by 14 strokes for a 301 in round two for a 616. The Islanders are 14 strokes out of first behind South Dakota.
 
Freshman Lucia Ramirez registered a 157, junior Reese Drezins a 165 and freshman Elsa Tornvall a 169. All three improved upon their scores from round one to round two.
 
The final round begins at 7:30 a.m. (CT) Tuesday.
