ABILENE, Texas – With the opportunity to clinch its first Southland Conference Tournament appearance since 2015, the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi softball program will conclude the regular season in a three-game series against Abilene Christian at Poly Wells Field.
Â
The Islanders (18-27, 8-13 SLC) and the Wildcats (11-32, 7-17 SLC) will play a 3 and 5 p.m. doubleheader Friday. They'll wrap it up Saturday at 2 p.m.
Â
The Islanders would clinch a berth with a sweep over ACU. If the Islanders take two of three, they would need Incarnate Word to lose the series to Sam Houston. If the Islanders take one of three, they would need SHSU to sweep UIW.

The Islanders played their final home games of the season last weekend against Houston Baptist. Before the games Sunday, A&M-Corpus Christi honored
Daisy Gonzalez,
Kennedy Jimenez,
