CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – Sophomore
Pal Egan from the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi softball program was recognized for her standout 2021 season by earning Southland All-Conference Third-Team honors, the league office announced Monday.

Egan led the team in on-base percentage with a .441 mark. She hit for a .299 average with 22 runs, 20 RBIs, six doubles and a homer. Egan ranked third in the conference in walks with 26 and eighth in on-base percentage.

The Bakersfield, California native ranked first on the squad in multi-hit games with 12. She started the season by reaching base safely in all of the first 17 games. It included a home run against Kansas on Feb. 27 and a two-for-three day at No. 10 Texas on March 10.

Egan started in 47 of 48 games, including all 24 conference games. She showed her versatility by playing nearly every position on the diamond defensively. On the base paths, Egan was 21-for-24 in stolen bases, including 10-of-11 in conference.
