CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – Texas A&M-Corpus Christi beach volleyball improved to 4-0 on the weekend with a pair of 4-1 decisions over Houston Baptist and A&M-Kingsville to close out the Conni & Jay Wise Islander Classic Saturday at Water's Edge Park.
Picking up where they left off on day one, the Islanders cruised past HBU by a 4-1 margin as A&M-Corpus Christi claimed points on Nos. 2, 3, 4 and 5.
With all but one win being a straight-set rout, the Islanders piled on the points from No. 2

Brooke Adkisson and
Jaylyn Porras (21-18, 21-19) and No. 5
Mary Dodge and
Migle Mazurkeviciute (21-9, 21-15). No. 4
Kylie Kvam and
Micaela Mirabal (18-21, 21-18, 15-9) completed the Islanders scoring with the three-set victory.
The second match followed a similar script, as the Islanders collected four of the five available points for the 4-1 win over local rival A&M-Kingsville.
The first three courts picked up home points as No. 1
Giuliana Poletti Corrales and
Brooke Pertuit (21-12, 18-21, 15-12), No. 2 Horsfall and Ramirez (21-19, 21-19) and No. 3 Adkisson and Porras (21-14, 21-19) finished in the Islander win column. No. 5 Dodge and Mazurkeviciute dominated in a 21-5, 21-15 victory to solidify another 4-1 Islander victory.
Up next, Islanders head to TCU for a weekend tournament April 9-10.
