SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Texas A&M-Corpus Christi outdoor track & field garnered an individual and team title to wrap up competition on Saturday at the UTSA Invitational.
Leonardo Ledgister notched the individual win for the Islanders in the men's 400 hurdles, posting a program-best 50.59 time that ranks 12
th nationally. On the relay side, the women's 4x400 medley team took home the top spot as the group of
Larissa Manciaz, T'Anna Dawkins,
Jadyn Wagner,
Yasmine Steele and
Makalah Griffin clocked a 3:51.43 for the title.
The Islanders collected numerous top-three finishes, as T'anna Dawkins earned the lone runner-up time with a 55.69 in the 400-meter dash while
Timor Barrett (51.53) followed close behind Ledgister for third-place in the 400 hurdles.
A&M-Corpus Christi added to its accolades, as
Ke'Tavion Humber (14.09) gained third in the 110-hurdles,
Tristan Stellmach (3:59.82) raced to third in the 1500-meter and
Erika Snyder (1.66) tied for second in the high jump category.
Rounding out the top finishers,
Grant Fairchild (7.19) recorded fourth in the men's long jump while
Capri Wilson (11.89) clinched another fourth-place finish in the women's 100-meter.
