CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – Texas A&M-Corpus Christi beach volleyball makes the short trip for a midweek matchup at A&M-Kingsville Wednesday, March 10 at 10 a.m.

Notes
- A&M-Corpus Christi added a pair of 5-0 sweeps to its season ledger at the Cactus Classic, besting Boise State in day one before turning in another clean sheet the following day in a non-conference match bout against Stephen F. Austin.
- Over two weekends of play, the Islanders have assembled a 5-4 overall mark, with all four of their losses coming against nationally-ranked opponents No. 1 LSU, No. 10 GCU, No. 15 Arizona, No. 20 Arizona State.
- Mary Dodge and Micaela Mirabal led the Islanders with a 3-2 mark over the three-day tour. In addition to the sweep wins, Dodge and Mirabal took their No. 20 Arizona State opponent to the wired in three with a 21-15, 11-21, 15-12 victory.
- The Islanders went 3-1 during opening weekend, with all victory finishes ending in a 3-2 final score and the lone loss coming against No. 1 LSU. Â
- Powerhouse pair Brooke Adkisson and Kylie Kvam earned the first Southland Pair of the Week award after going 2-2 over the four-match weekend as the Islanders start the season at a 3-1 mark, acting as the deciding point with a 21-12, 22-20 win to claim the 3-2 opener against UL-Monroe. Adkisson and Kvam returned to the sand the following day with a commanding 21-9, 21-13 rout over host HBU to clinch their second decision of the weekend.
- In addition to a strong returning class, the Islanders welcome Division I grad transfers Mary Dodge (Wisconsin), Micaela Mirabal (Grand Canyon), and Emily Ramirez (UTSA) to the roster. Â Â Â Â Â
- Coach Gayle Stammer enters her fifth season at the helm of the Islander program.
