CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas –
After a month-long road stretch, the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi women's soccer program returns home for the regular season finale on Senior Day against UIW at 7 p.m. Friday at Dugan Stadium.

Prior to the game, A&M-Corpus Christi (7-9-1, 5-5-1 SLC) will honor Reaghan Lang, Samantha Palomino and Hanleigh Allen in a special Senior Day ceremony.

The Islanders will either be the No. 3 or 4 seed in the conference tournament, which they are hosting. They are currently in fourth-place but can surpass UIW (6-9-2, 6-4-1 SLC) with a win, bundled with a Southeastern win or tie against Nicholls.

With a victory, A&M-Corpus Christi would also tie the program record for most SLC wins in a season with six in 2019. The Islanders can also secure their second winning season in league play in three years.

The Islanders are coming off their best weekend of the season when they went on the road to beat Nicholls 2-1 and Southeastern 1-0. As a result, they swept the SLC weekly awards as Palomino won Offensive Player of the Week, freshman Emma Crump was tabbed Defensive Player of the Week and freshman Emily Levy won Goalkeeper of the Week.

"After a fantastic last weekend, we need to keep the momentum going against a very physical third-place team in UIW," said head coach Craig Shaw.

Palomino ranks third in the conference in goals with six on the year. Lang is tied for fifth with four goals. Palomino and Lang are two of six Islanders to score goals this year along with sophomore Maggie Murray with three, freshman Megan Guy with two and Crump and sophomore Olivia Alvarez each with one.

In back, sophomore defender Emma Herrera has logged a team-high 1,514 minutes. She's one of four student-athletes to start in all 17 games on the year along with Palomino, junior Emma Gibbs and sophomore Reese Cross.

UIW is coming off a 2-0 win over Nicholls. Keeley Ayala ranks first in the SLC in shots with 51 (3.0 per game). Sierra Wannamaker is the team's leading scorer with four goals. The Cardinals won the first meeting this year 3-1 in San Antonio.

The Islanders are 5-2-1 at home this year.
