CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas - The Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi Department of Athletics has launched a redesigned fundraising website to provide simple and clear information about how fans can support Islander student-athletes philanthropically.
"We are excited to provide a more streamlined online giving resource for Islander fans and supporters," commented Director of Athletics
Jon Palumbo. "In the increasingly competitive arena of Division I athletics, private support is critical to success. The Islander Athletic Fund is the best way to directly impact our student-athletes and programs."
The new site provides information on different ways for donors to support student-athletes, from annual gifts to starting an endowment. Fans can use the site to make gifts directly to the Islanders Athletic Fund from any computer or smartphone. New to the site is a page that will recognize members of the Islander Athletic Fund for their contribution throughout the year. The site also highlights signature fundraising events for the year, including The Islander Athletic Fund Golf Classic, Casino Night, and Basketball Tip-off Dinner, as well as photo albums from previous years' events.
"The goal of the new site is to provide a tool for our current donors and to expand our Islander Family of supporters," said
Josiah Castro, Associate Director of Athletics. "Donations are essential for our athletics department to provide the resources for student-athletes to achieve their highest potential. This site provides an easy way for anyone to support the wonderful young men and women who represent our university so well."
The Islander Athletic Fund is currently in its annual fund drive to renew members and garner new support from the Coastal Bend Community and beyond for the upcoming 2020–21 academic year. If you would like to give to the fund, or would like more information please contact
