Soccer falls to Texas on Sunday night

Story Headlines
- The Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi soccer team fell to the University of Texas, 3-0, on Sunday afternoon at the Mike A. Meyers Stadium and Soccer Field in Austin, Texas. 
- This marked the second time in program history that the Islanders have faced the Longhorns. The last match took place on Sept. 5, 2014 in Corpus Christi, Texas. 
- Texas is the only team that Texas A&M Corpus Christi has ever faced from the Big XII conference in regular season action. 
- A&M Corpus Christi moves to 1-4 on the season while Texas improves to 3-2. 
- The Longhorns scored all of their goals in the first half, scoring in the 1st, 22nd and 23rd minute. 

Key Islander Statistics
- Abby Deakin led the Islanders with four shots taken. Kyleigh Hall, Celia Hilsabeck and Addison Urbanus each recorded a shot on goal respectively in the match. 
Megan Dodd also picked up a shot attempt in contest. 
- The A&M-Corpus Christi defense shut out the Longhorns in the second half of play.
- Islander goalkeeper Hall recorded eight saves in 90 minutes of action.
