Softball drops two games at Northwestern State

Story Headlines
- The Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi softball team fell twice to Northwestern State in a doubleheader at the Lady Demon Diamond in Natchitoches, La., on Friday.
- The Islanders are now 3-14 in conference play while the Lady Demons improved to 11-6.
- Northwestern State won the first game 3-1, and won the second game, 7-2.

- Texas A&M-Corpus Christi scored in the fourth as Emilee Baker crossed the plate as Whitney Wendel reached on a Lady Demon error. Baker hit a one-out double earlier in the inning.
- Kandace Johnson threw the full 6.0 innings, allowing two earned runs on five hits. She retired the side in order in the third.
- Baker went 2-for-3 with a double and a run scored.
- Kennedy Johnson had a double, going 1-for-3.
- Samantha Burke was 1-for-3 in the first game.
- Ashley Moss and Keagan Helson both drew walks in the game.
