- The Huskies scored three runs in the second on a three-run homerun and added one more in the sixth.
- With two down in the third, Koehl reached on anerror by the second baseman and stole second. Ashley Moss hit a single to right to drive in Koehl for A&M-Corpus Christi's first run.
- In the seventh, Ashleigh Sgambelluri walked to lead off. After a pair of groundouts, Sgambelluri moved to third and came in to score as Koehl slapped a single up the middle.
- Kandace Johnson set the Huskies down in order in the first, fourth and fifth innings, at one point retiring eight in a row.
- Moss finished the day 2-for-4 with an RBI.
- Whitney Wendel went 1-for-3 on the day.
- Emily Vela had four assists at third base.
