Soccer falls to Lamar at home on Friday night

- The Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi soccer team fell to Lamar University, 2-0, at the Dr. Jack Dugan Soccer and Track & Field Stadium on Friday night.
- Texas A&M-Corpus Christi moves to 8-7-1 and 5-3-1 in the Southland, while Lamar improves to 11-6 and 8-1 in conference action. 
- Lamar scored the first two goals of the match in the 20th and 27th minute of play. 
- The Islanders recorded 12 of their 18 shots in the second half.

- Esther Okoronkwo recorded both of the Cardinals' goal in a seven minute span. 
- A&M-Corpus Christi and Lamar were near identical in total shots as the Islanders recorded 18 with 11 on goal, compared to the Cardinals with 19 and 11 on goal.
