SAN ANTONIO, Texas- Texas A&M Corpus Christi Softball concluded their final SLC competition of the season, with a one-sided victory (8-0) against the UIW hosts. The Islanders took the series 2-1 from the Cardinals, finishing the regular season 14-37 and 5-22 in the conference.
Returning from a doubleheader split on May 5th against Incarnate-Word (5-3 & 5-6), TAMU-CC held high intentions in taking the closing competition from the Cardinals on May 6th. Having a scoreless game for both teams in the first two innings of the closing contest, the Blue and Green were successfully able to break through early in the third with two runs that were orchestrated by
Kaylee Hoppens and
Whitney Wendel.
