CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Athletics has partnered with SIDEARM Sports to provide a more in depth, user friendly official website for Islanders fans. Beginning today, GoIslanders.com will have a completely new look.
The fully responsive design allows for the web site to automatically detect the screen size of the viewer and adjust accordingly to fit any desktop, tablet or smartphone. Users on any platform will now essentially have the same experience and ease of access to news, stats, tickets and much more.
The home page of GoIslanders.com features a large, beautiful imagery, easy to read headlines, and links to related items and news for each sport.
Additionally, a convenient live scoreboard covers the top of the web site for fans to easily access upcoming games. Recaps and Box Scores will be linked here as well after the conclusion of the event.
With the ever expanding digital space in the world of intercollegiate excellence, the new GoIslanders.com will feature a large video viewer with full screen capabilities. The Islanders Digital Network on-demand video space will pull directly from the Islanders Athletics YouTube page, and features highlights, interviews and much more from all 16 teams.
The new web site will also feature easy access to the Islanders' social media channels and photo galleries directly from the home page with specific items available on sport pages throughout the site.
The new Islanders Athletics mobile app will also be available for apple and android devices later this year. It will be the fan's one-stop mobile shop for everything Islanders with scores, stories, rosters, schedules and more.
There are a number of Islander fans who enjoyed using the mobile app over the last year. We've upgraded in that department as well. The Islanders Front Row app will no longer be available, but there will be multiple ways to enjoy a more in depth Islanders mobile experience starting today.
The mobile web site is extremely user friendly on all smartphones and tablets, giving the fan a complete experience. Unlike the previous app, the mobile site gives you access to every story, statistic, photo, link and video on the full version of GoIslanders.com.
Fans can easily post the mobile page to the home screen of their device on both Apple and Android. For iPhone users in Safari, just click the middle button on the bottom of the screen when on GoIslanders.com and click "Add to Home Screen." When using Chrome, click the setting button and similarly, click "Add to Home Screen." This will give the user one-click ability to access all of what GoIslanders.com has to offer.
Additionally Islanders Athletics and SIDEARM Sports will be introducing a new Islanders mobile app later this year.
ISLANDERS DIGITAL NETWORK
All Islanders home events for soccer, volleyball, basketball, baseball and softball will be broadcast live and for free on the Islanders Digital Network during the 2016-17 season. Fans can access the live video at GoIslanders.com, clicking the "Video" dropdown tab and selecting "Watch Live."
